Janet Reynolds Reus, 75, of San Antonio, TX, went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2026, in Devine, TX, after a courageous ordeal with cancer that lasted nearly two decades. Born October 26, 1950, in Victoria, TX, Jan was the youngest daughter of Lillian and Oran Reynolds. She grew into a devoted wife, a comforting mother, and a cherished friend.
Jan’s passions reflected her warm and thoughtful nature. She cherished her animals, offering them unconditional love and comfort. She also nurtured vibrant, fragrant gardens and appreciated the history and character of her collected antiques. Her dolls and doll houses were her way of imagining a fairy tale life. A lover of stories, she found solace and delight in losing herself in the pages of a good book, transported to far-off lands with unforgettable characters. She also enjoyed coastal trips, happily combing beaches for shells and sea glass, and gatherings with family and friends.
Jan is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Stephen, and her three sons: Christopher, Michael (with Caroline), and Justin (with Sandra), as well as numerous and wonderful relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Jean. Her warmth, kindness, wisdom, and friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held in the coming months for close family and friends. Internment will be at Wood High Cemetery, Telferner, Texas (near Victoria) where several of her relatives are buried.
