Janice Ash

Janice Sue Ash, age 71, passed away on January 26, 2026, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born on April 13, 1954, in the same city she called home throughout her life, Janice's journey was rooted in the community and family she cherished.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Julie (Chad) LaFever and Lisa Fortin; her grandchildren, Janae and Jessilyn LaFever and Jacob, Kaleb, and Josh Beimers; and her sister-in-law Vandy DeYoung. Janice also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will hold her memory close.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Al Grafmiller, and her brother, Gary DeYoung.

In accordance with Janice's wishes, there will be no formal service. Those who wish to honor her memory are encouraged to consider a donation to Faith Hospice or a domestic violence center of their choice.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
