Janice Drukalski (Mehaulik), a beacon of love and care, passed away suddenly on November 16th, 2025, at the age of 81, in Neville Island, PA. Born on January 21st, 1944, in McKeesport, PA, Janice lived a life marked by compassion, thoughtfulness, and generosity.
Janice completed her nursing education at the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing and embarked on a lifelong career as a dedicated registered nurse in 1964. Her commitment to her profession was evident in the care she provided to her patients and the respect she earned from her colleagues. Janice's work was not just a job; it was a calling that she answered with passion and excellence, touching countless lives along the way. She traveled down many paths of her nursing career, with selfless determination and devotion.
Beyond her professional life, Janice's Christian faith was a cornerstone, guiding her through the joys and challenges of life. She lived her beliefs through her actions, always extending a hand to those in need and offering a kind word or a comforting presence. Her faith was her compass, and she navigated life's journey with unwavering grace.
Janice's love and talent were most palpable in the kitchen. She expressed her affection through her spectacular cooking and baking. She was especially renowned for her nut and poppy seed roll. Everything she prepared was a testament to her loving nature, as she cooked and baked with care for her family and friends. The aroma of her creations filled the home and warmed the hearts of all who were lucky enough to taste them.
Family was the heart of Janice's world. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 61 years, Albert, a bond that stood as a testament to enduring love and partnership. Her legacy continues through her daughter, Lynn, son-in-law, Charles, as well as her grandsons, Albert and Andrew, who will carry forward the values and love she instilled in them.
Janice was the epitome of a giving person, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her life exemplified empathy and kindness. She was driven by an intelligent mind and loving heart. Those who only met her once or twice have had beautiful stories to tell of her giving nature. Those who knew her well will remember her thoughtful gestures, her comforting presence, and the wisdom she shared generously. Those that loved her will carry her in their hearts forever.
Janice was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and lived a remarkable life. We celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. We find solace in the memories she leaves behind and the impact she made on every life she touched. Janice's spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the light of a star continues to reach us long after it has gone. Her life was a gift to us all, and will be cherished forever.
