Born on August 3, 1946, in Portland, Oregon, and passing peacefully on May 12, 2025, in Redmond, Washington, she lived a life defined by creativity, generosity, and deep devotion to the people she loved.

The daughter of Karle Armitage and Mary Dyer, she grew up in Portland, where she developed the warmth, resilience, and artistic spirit that would shape her entire life.

She was a wonderful cook, known for meals that brought family and friends together and for the joy she found in feeding the people she cared about. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and open doors.

She is survived by her children—Joseph Bryan Irwin, Catherine Irwin Chilcott, and Marjorie Dorthea Irwin—who carry forward her strength, creativity, and compassion. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Hayden Brooks, Karlie Chilcott, Nathan Chilcott, Sadie Hibbard, and Paige Hibbard, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness.

Her legacy lives on in the countless moments of kindness she offered throughout her life. She will be remembered with gratitude and love by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
