Janice C Rogerson

Janice C Rogerson, 77, of Virginia Beach VA, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026. She was the daughter of the late, William Earl Craddock and Hazel Jane Mariner Donovan. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James R Rogerson.

Janice was born in Norfolk, VA and lived the most of her life in Virginia Beach. Her early years she worked with children at several child care facilities, including Nautilus Fitness Studio in Waldorf, MD. Later she worked for Virginia Beach Public Schools in the transportation department. She retired in the 90’s and enjoyed her time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Janice was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. She always had a way of making you laugh. To know her was to love her. One of her favorite past times was to watch HGTV, especially Joanna Gaines and watching the Food Channel. She loved baking and sharing her yummy treats with others, especially her home made frosting.

Janice was married to James for thirty six years. They loved traveling to the Blue Ridge Mountains, and their favorite place was Peaks of Otter. They lived happily until his passing in 2021.

Janice is survived by her sister, Barbara Dumire and husband, Ed of Shenandoah, VA, her brother Alvin Craddock and wife Terri of Ocean Isle, NC, her three daughters, Taunia Merritts and husband Trent, Tammy Turk, and Terri Mc Sweeney and husband Andy all from Virginia Beach, her precious grandchildren, Ashlyn Cooper, Brian Turk, & Madeline and Brett Merritts, and her great grandchildren Devin, Selena, and Sean.

A private family burial will take place at Rosewood-Kellum in Virginia Beach
