Mrs. Janice Delores White (Wimbish), age 64, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Richmond, Virginia—the city where she was born and spent her entire life. Her radiant smile, generous heart, and unwavering faith left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born on December 6, 1961, in Richmond, Janice was the beloved daughter of Albert Eugene Wimbish and Jean Dickerson. From childhood, she exuded a joyful spirit and nurturing warmth that became the foundation of her character. At Hermitage High School, she played the clarinet in the marching band—a reflection of her vibrant personality and deep sense of community.

Janice continued her education at J. Sargent Reynolds Community College before embarking on a career in the medical field. As a receptionist, she became affectionately known as "the kind lady with the very warm smile." Her gentle demeanor and helpful nature made her a source of comfort to many. She would recieve an award for her exceptional customer service and public relations, having a star named after her.

Her faith served as the guiding light throughout her life. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Janice served full-time as a regular pioneer, dedicating herself to sharing messages of hope and peace through Bible-based teachings. Her ministry was more than service—it was a calling that brought her deep joy and fostered lifelong friendships that she treasured dearly.

Janice's generosity knew no bounds. Whether organizing road trips or hosting lively cookouts filled with laughter and love, she brought people together with grace and kindness. She delighted in cooking for others—each meal crafted with care—and found serenity in knitting during quiet moments. Simple joys like family board games or bike rides alongside her husband and son were among her most cherished memories.

A devoted daughter, Janice lovingly cared for both of her parents during their later years with compassion and commitment that reflected the depth of her love for family.

For 41 years, she shared a deeply loving marriage with Lester White, who survives her. Their enduring partnership was rooted in mutual respect and unwavering devotion. Together they raised their son Jamin White, who remained a source of immense pride throughout Janice's life. She also leaves behind her cherished daughter-in-law Stephanie White; grandchildren Jamin-Elijah White, Ava Elisa White, Phoenix Sewell, and Olivia Winston; many cousins among whom include, Tera Robinson; Barbara Brown; nieces-in-law Amber White and Latoya White; nephew-in-law Chris White Jr.; along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Janice's heart embraced not only family but also dear friends who became like kin through years of shared experiences and spiritual fellowship—among them Dorcy and Joyce Jones; Kathy and Estelle Alston; Ronald and Deborah Rowell; Sheena Lewis; Nikki Floyd;
and many others whose lives were enriched by her presence.

She was preceded in death by her father Albert Eugene Wimbish; mother Jean Dickerson; and uncle Ralph Lewis.

A memorial service honoring Janice's life will be held on February 7th 2026, in Richmond, Virginia.

Her legacy is one woven with kindness, hospitality, faithfulness, and enduring hope—a legacy carried forward in every soul she touched through acts both grand and small: a warm meal prepared with love, an encouraging word offered at just the right moment, or simply by being fully present with empathy and grace.

May the memory of Mrs. Janice Delores White continue to bring light to all whose hearts were brightened by her presence.
