Jason Alfred Mayers slipped into eternity on November 8, 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Queens, New York to Alfred and Anne Mayers on May 15, 1970 but spent most of his childhood and adult life in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
Jason's beloved dog, Nino, remained faithfully by his side during his cancer ordeal. Jason loved animals, landscaping, and driving sports cars. Jason followed his father, Alfred, who worked as a plumbing and heating specialist, into the trade, first attending New England Institute of Technology for that discipline. Jason also joined the Army and was tapped for Officer Candidate School, being motivated by his mother, Anne, who was a Lt Colonel in the US Army serving as a Registered Nurse in various assignments including at Walter Reed Army Medical Center during war-time conflict.
During his struggle with cancer, Jason was lucky to have been visited by numerous friends and cared for by his life-long partner, Ryan Murphy, as well as his mother and younger brother, Mark Mayers, and his brother's partner, Tyisha Kercado.
In addition to his partner, mother, and brother, Jason is survived by his step-father, Ronald Heckman, half-brother, Alfie, half-sister, Robyn, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
Jason was cremated and his life celebrated by family and friends who gathered to remember his quick wit, insatiable curiosity, but most of all, his kindness.
We will all miss him dearly and meet him again in heaven.
