Jason was the fifth son born to Billy Clint and Mary Elizabeth Brown in Hobbs New Mexico on April 20th, 1976.
Jason graduated from Hobbs High School class of 1994 and then attended New Mexico State University class of 1999 where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
Jason worked for several different newspapers during his career and lived on the West Coast at the beginning but for most of his adult life he chose to make Fort Worth Texas his home.
He was an avid sports fan, foodie, and he loved to cook. He was an amazing wordsmith and storyteller. He was always a big animal lover and was preceded in death by two special puppies Billie and Cido. Although he leaves no children behind, he bestowed his beloved doggie Hank to his mother Beth.
Jason was preceded in death by his father Bill Brown, and oldest brother Jeff Brown. He is survived by his mother Beth Brown of Midland, Texas, three older brothers, Kim Brown of Odessa, Texas and his family, George Brown of Irving Texas and his family, James Brown of Midland Texas and his family, nephews Clint Brown of Odessa Texas and his family (grandniece Skarlette and grandnephew namesake Jason Wyatt), Ritter Brown of Odessa Texas, and a niece Claire "CJ" Brown of Midland Texas.
He was a big guy that filled a room with his infectious laughter, biting wit, sarcasm, and offbeat humor. That is who we will always think of when we think of Jason, we love you!
In lieu of flowers, consider a donation in his name to a local pet rescue or shelter of your choice.
There will be a celebration of life in honor of Jason on Sunday April 12th at 2:00 pm. at Malone’s Pub 1303 Calhoun St Fort Worth, Texas.
