Jason Lee Gill, 41, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away on October 22, 2025, in his hometown. Born on April 17, 1984, in Sarasota, Jason lived a life filled with passion, love, and an enduring commitment to those around him.
Jason is survived by Kristen Gill; his cherished children Allison, Riley, Marley Rose, and Jameson Lee; his devoted mother Karen Gill; brothers Dr. Joseph Gasdon-Gill (Darnell) of Wilbraham, Massachusetts, and David Gill of Daytona Beach, Florida; sister Jessica Gill of Hampton, Virginia; nieces Jordan, Johnna, Kaley; nephew Zakari; as well as Uncles, Aunts and numerous cousins, countless friends who considered him family. He was predeceased by his father Larry Joe Gill.
A proud graduate of Sarasota High School, where he earned honors, Jason went on to further his education at the University of Central Florida. There, he achieved degrees in both Political Science and Philosophy—fields that reflected his deep curiosity about the world and his desire to make it a better place.
Jason’s love for sports began early in life. He was actively involved in Sarasota Little League and Sarasota Babe Ruth Baseball and played football for the Ringling Redskins and Sarasota High School. These experiences not only shaped his character but also fostered lifelong friendships and a strong sense of community.
After college, Jason moved to Port Orange, Florida, where he built a beautiful family and continued to touch the lives of everyone he met. Known for his vibrant personality and infectious smile, Jason had a unique ability to light up any room he entered. He was the life of the party, an incredible host, and a steadfast friend to many. His warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Despite his outward vibrancy and dedication to others’ happiness, Jason faced personal struggles with mental health. His family hopes that he now knows how deeply he mattered to those around him—that he was enough just as he was—and that he was profoundly loved by so many.
May Jason’s memory serve as a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know him. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 21, 2026, from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Linger Lodge 7116 85th Ct E
