Jean Bernice Camps, 83, of Franklin, WI, passed away on November 29, 2025. She was born in Eden, WI to the late William and Edna Clark. Preceded in death by her loving husband Thaddeus "Ted" Camps, brothers Edward, William, Merl "Butchie", and sister Bernice. Jean had a passion for life and found immense joy in the simple pleasures. Her favorite foods were anything sugary and sweet. An avid gambler, she loved visiting the casino and trying her luck with poker, and could talk sports with the best of them. This hobby was a source of excitement and fun throughout her life.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by her surviving family, including children Francis "Frank" (Jamie) Camps, Elizabeth "Dolly" (Daniel) Fellows, Karen (Robert) Sauvageau, grandchildren Jessica (Michael Krack) Fellows, Rebecca "Becky" (RJ) Norris, Jacob (Emily) Fellows, Abigail Sauvageau, Benjamin Sauvageau, great-grandchildren Charlotte and Brooke Fellows, sisters Jane Johnson and Diane Remshek, and close friend Bob Robison. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Greendale Historic Hose Tower at 5699 Parking St, Greendale, WI 53129.
This will be an open-house gathering, and guests are welcome to come at any time. We will gather for a brief prayer service at 12:15 p.m., followed by food, refreshments, and the sharing of memories. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly welcomes donations in Jean's honor.
