Jean Slee

It is with heavy hearts that we mark the passing from natural causes of our sweet Mom "Jean D Slee"on Nov. 6th 2025. She was born in Denver Co. to Fred and Geneva Memmer on March 8th 1934. She attended West High School in Denver . In 1951 she married Harold Rhodus dec. In 1961 she married Max Slee dec. The family moved to Loveland Co. in 1968 where she resided to date. In 1976 she married Jerry Rutt dec. and was a long time companion to Gene Schoonveld dec. Mother of 6 she also worked a variety of jobs including a professional cake decorator, product demonstrator and some may even remember her as "Jeanie the Clown " for Alco Department Store and for children's parties. She worked for Toddy's market as a cashier in Ft. Collins Co. for 20 yrs. In her retirement Jean loved to paint, travel and dance in her beloved state of Colorado. She had a passion for Polka music and was an avid polka dancer and promoter. She was known for her quick wit, wicked sense of humor and contagious laugh. She is survived by five children, daughters, Celeste Decker, Laurel Seison and Alie Ackerson, her sons Rich and Rusty Slee as well as 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, her only sister Beverly Hood and a daughter Regina Rhodus. We would like to thank her friends and neighbors for all the love and help you gave to her, especially in her last years. You were loved, treasured and indispensable to her. She loved you so very much. Per Jean's wishes she was cremated. A private memorial will be held at a date to be determined.
