Seventeen years ago, Jeanie Park, born on December 8, 1980 married Esteban Kim and became Jeanie P Kim. On March 14, she decided to leave this physical world.
A beloved wife and mother. She was an artist who saw beauty in simplicity and order. She loved traveling, discovering new favorite places to come back to again and again. She loved to cook Korean side dishes while sipping on rye whiskey. She loved 90s R&B melodies, live events, long walks and longer drives.
As a fashion atelier, she built our style, the personal uniforms to take on each and every day. As a clinical professional, she showed and taught us the need to battle germs, years before Covid-19 ever did. As my life partner, we shared love through blood, sweat and tears. Her passion was her family; us, survived by her husband and the two boys.
Grief is the weight of time
memories, a tsunami bulging out
from the the ocean's depth
waves that destroy, waves that erase
Passing on but to a lovely calm
and yet the ocean remains
for us, til death do us part
My love, sleep well...
