Jeanne Marie Frakes Reich, age 83, died peacefully in Sarasota, FL on February 18, 2026. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 8, 1942. Jeanne graduated from Riverside High School in Milwaukee in 1960, graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in 1980 with a BA in Anthropology, and retired as Vice President of Lending at West Coast Federal Employees Credit Union in Sarasota, FL. Between her times in Wisconsin and Florida, Jeanne lived in Albuquerque, NM where she spent a lot of hobby time developing a deep knowledge of southwestern indigenous Pueblo history, culture, and arts. Jeanne was a voracious reader, moviegoer and music fan, and she enjoyed maintaining her beautiful Florida home with tropical landscaping. Jeanne is survived by 3 children: Laura Reich (Debbie Zabinski) of Santa Fe, NM, Tiffany Calderone of Houston, TX, and Michelle Reich of Porto, Portugal, and one granddaughter María Calderone (Victor Sampaio) of Los Angeles, CA. In the end Jeanne could still bend over and touch her toes with great enthusiasm.
