Jeannette Lois Hubbard (Pfeiffer), age 89, passed away peacefully at home in Vernon, Connecticut on January 12th 2026. Jeannette was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on October 27th 1936 to Herbert and Minnie Pfeiffer. She grew up in Coventry, Connecticut and graduated from Manchester High School. Her early career was as a secretary. However, nursing was her calling and she graduated from Passaic Community College as a Registered Nurse. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Hartford. Also, she was Board Certified in Gerontology. Jeannette's passion for nursing was such that she did not retire until age 71.
When not working Jeannette loved to knit, read and feed the indigenous bird population.
Jeannette was predeceased by her son Alan. Surviving are her spouse Robert J Wolak, her grandson Alan Michael Caywood and her great-grandchildren Analyn and Joshua. Many nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services have been planned at this time.
