Jeffrey Jerome Bauer

Jeffrey Jerome Bauer, 77, of North Haledon, New Jersey, passed away on March 14, 2025, at Valley Hospital in Paramus after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

Jeff was born on August 17, 1947, in Paterson. He graduated from Manchester Regional High School in Haledon and worked as a tool and die maker until his retirement in 2013. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War and was happiest when watching football, listening to one of his more than 1,500 classic rock CDs (Neil Young was his favorite), attending rock concerts, spotting black bears on the hiking trail, or admiring the deer that often wandered through his yard.

Jeff is survived by his siblings Mark Bauer and Renée Bauer; his brother-in-law, Michael Peck; his nephew, Wayne Bauer, Jr.; his niece, Amanda Bauer; two grandnieces; and one grandnephew. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Bauer, Sr., and his parents, Michael and Anne Bauer.

A memorial service to mark the one-year anniversary of his passing will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, at 1 pm at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home on 530 High Mountain Rd. in Franklin Lakes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jeff's name to The Parkinson's Foundation.
