Jeff and his beloved wife Toni shared a passion for travel, exploring the world together and discovering new places. Their adventures and shared experiences brought them even closer, strengthening their relationship over the years. Their marriage, which lasted 68 years, stood as a testament to their deep bond and unwavering commitment, serving as an inspiration to all who knew them.
He was known for his kindness, sharp wit, and measured perspective, earning the respect and admiration of friends, colleagues and clients alike.
He was enthusiastic and enjoyed connecting with others, fostering strong relationships through his energy and friendliness. He actively served the Arvada Kiwanis Club, demonstrating his commitment to community service. At the University of Denver's Sigma Chi Chapter, he contributed to brotherhood and campus life. For more than sixty years, he exhibited exemplary commitment and proficiency as both a Certified Public Accountant and Financial Planner. His career was distinguished by notable leadership positions, including serving as Managing Partner at Hines, Condon & Zarlengo.
Following his official retirement in 2005, his steadfast dedication to clients endured as he continued offering guidance and support until 2019, thereby extending his esteemed career well into his eighties. He loved to ski, play tennis, and play golf. Whether gliding down snowy slopes—occasionally faster than his dignity could keep up—he embraced the thrill and challenge of skiing. On the tennis court, he competed energetically and even invented a move he called "ball retrieval as fast as possible," highlighting his enthusiasm and humor. Sunny afternoons found him on the golf course, where his golf balls seemed mysteriously drawn to sand traps, yet he always found joy in the game and appreciated both the challenge and the creative excuses for his scorecard.
In addition to participating in sports, he was an avid spectator of baseball, basketball, and football. He often engaged deeply with the games, sharing his thoughts and observations with others. His passion for sports was evident not only in his active involvement but also in his spirited support of athletes and teams.
