Jeffrey Lynn Coy Sr., lovingly known as "Uncle Jetmo," passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, at the age of 60. Born on March 15, 1965, in Waynesboro, Pa. Jeffrey spent his life deeply rooted in the community he called home.
Jeff was a devoted father to his children: Nicole (Brian) Stoner of Chambersburg; Christina Coy (fiancé Ray Shatzer) of Quincy; Autumn (Mitch) Coulter of Chambersburg; and Jeffrey Coy Jr. of Scotland. He was a proud grandfather to Bryce Stoner, Ethan Stoner, Brandi Siegrist, Chandler Siegrist, Cale Siegrist, Jade, Aydan Siegrist, Kallan Coy, Colin Stoner, Gabe Coulter, Kieyan Coy, Kai Coulter, Jaycee Lynn Coy, Greyson Stoner, and Scarlett Coulter. His great-granddaughter, Wyona Renee, also held a special place in his heart. Jeff's grandchildren and great-granddaughter brought immeasurable joy to his life and will carry forward his memory and love.
He is also survived by his brothers, Denny (Anita) Coy and Bill (Sherry) Coy; his sister, Rose (Terry) Coy; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish the stories and lessons he shared. Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter Noley Shay Marie Coulter; his parents Charles and Virginia Coy; his siblings Mary, Pat, Reba, and Charles Jr.; and his nephews George Rowe ("Tink") and Gary Gennaro. Those who went before him are remembered with love as they joyfully welcomed him home.
Jeff had a deep passion for life's simple pleasures. A lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. He also enjoyed watching baseball and wrestling as a favorite pastime with his grandkids. Music played an important role in Jeff's life as well; he found joy in turning it way up and blasting his favorite '80s hair bands. These moments, filled with music, sports, and laughter, were the threads that connected him to those he loved most.
As a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him. His life reminds us to speak words that matter most, to choose love even when it is difficult, and to hold tightly to the hope we have in Christ.
In a final act of generosity that reflects the essence of who he was, Jeff made the selfless decision to donate his body to science. This choice will advance medical education and further research on lung fibrosis, a lasting gift that may bring healing and hope to others.
Jeffrey Lynn Coy Sr., "Uncle Jetmo," will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and inspiration as we celebrate a life well-lived. A Memorial Service will be held on March 15, 2026, from 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM at Rouzerville Ruritan Club 11962 Old rte 16. Guest are encouraged to wear black and gold.
