Jeffrey Laine

Jeffrey Cavell Laine, 79, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Born on November 17, 1946, in Negaunee, Michigan, Jeffrey lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his career, and his passions.

Jeffrey graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1968 with a Bachelor's Degree. His education laid the foundation for a distinguished career with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), where he provided steadfast support to the military. Over the course of his career, Jeffrey completed two overseas deployments and earned numerous commendations for his invaluable contributions. His work was characterized by excellence and commitment, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked alongside.

In addition to his professional achievements, Jeffrey was a man of many talents and interests. He had a passion for travel that took him to various corners of the world, enriching his life with diverse experiences. A voracious reader and skilled gardener, Jeffrey found joy in nurturing both knowledge and nature. He also excelled in carpentry and home improvement projects, balancing these pursuits alongside his demanding career.

Jeffrey's sense of humor and warm personality endeared him to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife Donna and a proud father to their son Joshua. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he extended this devotion to his wife's extended family as well. Jeffrey cherished his role as not only a father but also as a guiding figure to his nephews Brent Pinkstaff, Kevin Pinkstaff, Scott Pinkstaff, and Stephen Pinkstaff.

He is survived by his beloved wife Donna; his son Joshua; his sister Crystal Mohar and her family; Mary Pinkstaff; Brent & Anne Pinkstaff and their daughters Sarah, Ashleigh, and Mary; Kevin & Sherry Pinkstaff and their children Anna and Martin John; Scott Pinkstaff; Stephen & Ozge Pinkstaff and their daughter Esme. Jeffrey was predeceased by his parents Reino and Vienna Laine as well as his brother Tracy Laine.

Jeffrey's legacy is one of love, dedication, humor, and resilience. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May those who mourn find comfort in remembering the remarkable life he led.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Jeffrey's life.
