Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Jenna Lowe
On June 29, 1978, in Gary, Indiana, God gifted the world with Jenna Hunt, born to the late George A. Hunt and Frances L. Hunt. The youngest of three daughters—and a twin born just ten minutes apart—Jenna arrived with a light uniquely her own, one that would go on to warm countless lives.
Jenna was educated in the Gary school system and proudly graduated from West Side High School in 1997. Early on, her eye for beauty and creativity set her apart. In 1998, she graduated from the Creative Hairstyling Academy, beginning a lifelong journey of artistic expression that would continually evolve and flourish.
It was during this formative season that Jenna met the love of her life, Monte Lowe. Their bond grew steadily, rooted in friendship, devotion, and faith. After six years of courtship, they were united in holy matrimony in July 2003. For 22 beautiful years, Jenna was a loving, faithful, and committed wife—Monte's partner in love, life, and business.
Jenna's passion for the beauty industry expanded into a remarkable gift for craftsmanship. Guided by her God-given creativity, she blossomed into an extraordinary artisan. In 2010, she achieved another dream by becoming a painting contractor, building a successful business alongside her husband. Together, they worked hand in hand, embodying partnership, perseverance, and purpose.
A woman of deep faith, Jenna accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized in early adulthood. She lived her faith openly and joyfully, serving God with sincerity and humility. At Resurrection House Church of God in Gary, Indiana, Jenna became a powerful force within the Women on Fire for Christ ministry, helping to uplift, encourage, and transform the lives of women in need. Her compassion and testimony spoke louder than words.
Jenna was the heart of her family—a loving and devoted sister, a doting and attentive daughter, and a source of unwavering care. She had a special love for children, and they, in turn, were naturally drawn to her warmth and gentle spirit. Known as a ray of sunshine, Jenna's smile could light up any room, and her kind, affirming words left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
In her later years, Jenna continued to serve others selflessly as a home health aide, providing care and comfort to seniors. Even in this role, her compassion shined, reflecting a life dedicated to service and love.
On December 23, 2025, Jenna made her peaceful transition into Glory. While our hearts mourn her physical absence, we rejoice in the promise of eternal life and the legacy she leaves behind—one of faith, love, creativity, and service.
Jenna is lovingly remembered and survived by her devoted husband, Monte Lowe; her sisters, Stephanie Hunt and her twin, Jana Hunt; her nephew Seth Hunt; additional nephews and a niece; and a host of beloved cousins, extended family, and friends.
Though she has gained her heavenly wings, Jenna Lowe's light will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved her. Her life was a beautiful testimony, and her memory will continue to inspire, uplift, and remind us all to love deeply, serve faithfully, and live joyfully.
