Jennifer Darone

Jennifer A. Darone (nee Kusmierczyk) of Winter Garden, Florida, formerly of Cheektowaga, New York, entered into eternal rest on February 12, 2026.

Beloved wife of John for 29 years, devoted daughter of the late John and Diane, cherished sister of Julie (Marty) Ruch, Suzanne (David) Maroshick, Elizabeth (Timothy) Karan and Maria (Daniel) Cole, loving aunt to nieces and nephews and dear friend to all.

After a courageous 10-year battle with early onset Alzheimer's Disease, Jennifer passed peacefully at home. We will be forever grateful for the amazing caregivers who provided unwavering love and support to Jennifer along this journey.

Jennifer was known for her contagious laughter and beautiful smile, extraordinary creativity, brilliant mind, gentle determination and kind spirit. She was generous with her time and energy; she recognized when others needed her help, and provided support without being asked and without expectation or want for recognition.

Jennifer was a voracious reader. She loved to travel and never missed the opportunity to join her family or friends on an adventure. Jennifer and John have shared their love of Disney with family and friends, always going the extra mile to make every trip to the park seem special.

Jennifer attended Depew High School and completed her undergraduate work at Buffalo State College and masters degree at the University of Southern California before embarking on a career in technical writing.

Jennifer leaves a legacy of her writing and art, but most significantly she has taught us all that " the most beautiful things in life are not things. They're people and places, memories and pictures. They're feelings and moments and smiles and laughter" (A.A. Milne). She left the world a better place.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
