Jennifer Rebecca Tompkins, 40, of York, PA, went to hang out with the Big Guy Upstairs on November 20, 2025 at home, surrounded by family.
Born October 30, 1985, Jen was one-of-a-kind and lived life defined by her fierce love for her family and friends and her fun and generous spirit.
Jen was the kind of person everyone loved, no matter how long they'd known her. She had a witty, sarcastic sense of humor wrapped around a deeply loving heart, and she always put others first. If you needed help, Jen was the person you could call no matter the circumstance - and if she couldn't be there in person, she'd find a way to help you anyway.
The greatest joy of her life was being a mom to Seth and aunt to Declan and Cillian.
She is survived by her son, Seth Bowers; her parents, Kirk and Melissa (Morgart) Tompkins; her gram and gramps, Brenda (Snyder) Rymes and Warren Rymes; her younger sister, Jamie (Tompkins) Munchel, her husband, Dylon Munchel, and their sons, Declan and Cillian; her older sister, Jessica (Tompkins) Cross, her husband, Elijah Cross, and their fur babies, Milo and Link. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandma and grandpa, Eleanor (Menges) Tompkins and Dale Tompkins.
She worked at My Eye Dr., as a front desk receptionist and tech, where her sharp wit and caring nature made her a beloved presence.
Fiercely independent and hands-on, Jen loved doing things herself, whether it was changing her tires, brakes or oil - even customizing the interior of her car! If she ever needed help with a project, she'd call dad.
In true Jen fashion, there will be no celebration of life—instead, an After(Life) Party will be held at the UAW Local 1872 located at 3562 Gillespie Drive York, PA 17404, on December 14, 2025 at 2pm.
