Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at St. Marcus Catholic Cemetery in Clear Lake at a later date. Jerome passed away with family by his side on Friday, April 3, 2026, at home.
Jerome was born November 10, 1951, in St. Paul to Robert and Ruth (Woebkenberg) Romine. A graduate of St. Paul Johnson High School in 1969, afterwards pursued welding by attending vocational school. Jerry worked for Granite City Ready Mix for 30+ years. During that same period, he started farming alongside his brother in 1980. On Sept. 11, 1982, Jerry married Carmel O'konek at St. Lukes Catholic Church, and together they raised three daughters.
In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He was known for his strong work ethic, and farming wasn't just what he did - it was who he was. He loved the land and the life he and Carmel built. Through his work and example, he instilled deep roots in his family. He showed his love in a quiet, steady way, and that legacy will continue. Just one week after Carmel, Jerry joins her again - together now, at peace.
Jerome was survived by his daughters Stacy Romine of South Haven, Wendy (Chad) Udermann of Holdingford, and Amanda (Shane) Kliber of Holdingford; and ten grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and brother William Romine.
