Jerry C. Granto 79, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away peacefully in his Florida winter home on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025. Jerry was born in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Rose ( Batallia ) and the late Frank Granto. Jerry was predeceased by his first granddaughter Priscilla L. Penque, who left this world on July 11, 2004, and later, his sister Frances ( Granto ) Markle, who passed away on June 24, in 2013.

For many years Jerry was a chef, and managed his family owned business, Granto's Restaurant Corporation. He was a successful general contractor of Granto Construction, followed by working as a Building Inspector for Love Canal Area Revitalization Agency ( LCARA. )

Jerry was very passionate about playing the guitar, & cooking for his family. Having a great sense of humor, he was always playing pranks on his family. In his younger years, Jerry enjoyed hunting and basketball. He LOVED, & rarely missed a Purple Eagles basketball game. You might still be able to hear him screaming from the bleachers, if you listen closely enough.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Susan ( Ensminger ) Granto, twin brother Frank ( Jackie ) Granto of Lewiston, and his 5 devoted children ( from his first marriage to Alicia Serrano-Granto, ) Gina Granto ( Joseph ) Penque, Gerald ( Kristen Charles ) Granto, Angie ( Ronald ) Lucarini, Diann Granto-Bialik, Elena ( Brian Chmaj ) Granto, all of Niagara County. In addition, he has two stepchildren with his wife Sue, Kaylee Zingaro of Erie County & Evan ( Neya ) Zingaro, of Niagara County. Jerry also leaves behind over 20 grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He will be long remembered for his much revered Italian cuisine , his love of Elvis and Buddy Holly music, his adoration for his family, the outdoors, and his love for Jesus Christ, his Lord & Savior. Shortly before taking his last breath, Jerry said, "I wanna go home." When asked if he meant home to Niagara, he simply said, "Home with my God in heaven."
A service will be held at Forestview Church of God, 1250 Saunders Settlement Rd.,
Niagara Falls, on Monday, December 22 at 10:30AM.
