Jerry Steven Haas

Jerry Steven Haas, aged 84, passed away on December 29, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 30, 1941, Jerry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life was characterized by his dedication to his family and his passion for the outdoors.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Betty A. Haas, and their children, Diane Hudson, Mike (Diane) Metcalf, Greg (Lisa) Metcalf, Scott Metcalf, Debra Turk, and Angela (Tony) Virgilio. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen Haas, and his son, Rick J. Haas.
A man of many interests, Jerry enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, boating, and gardening. These activities brought him much joy and were a significant part of his life, providing countless cherished memories with his family and friends. Jerry had the biggest heart and a special way of making people feel loved and valued. His laughter, stories, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Church, 2338 E 5th St, Dayton, OH, on Saturday, April 25th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 N. Dixie Dr, Dayton OH.
