Jerry M. Roberts

Jerry M. Roberts, 70, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away on Nov 18, 2025 at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colorado, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a garage full of tools no one else quite knew how to find.

Born and raised in Ogallala to Jack & Evelyn Roberts, Jerry grew up with a passion for cars-driving (racing) them, fixing them, and occasionally insisting he could diagnosis an engine by "just listening to it." Jerry met Lori at the Roller Rocker Skating Rink in Ogallala. They later wed in 1985 and raised their children in Ogallala up until 2012. Jerry and Lori moved to North Platte, where he continued to master the art of being the family mechanic, family comedian, and taxi for his grandchildren.

Above all, Jerry was a devoted father, spouse, and grandfather. His greatest joy came from the people who called him dad and grandpa and his loyal dog Rocky. His grandchildren adored him, and he returned that love tenfold- whether he was giving rides, sneaking them treats, or telling stories that may or may not have been entirely true.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Lori J Roberts; his two sons Dustin (Shannon) Roberts and Josh (Anna) Roberts both of North Platte; his two daughters Stacy (Jason) Bintliff of Hill City, SD. and Heather (Roberts) Rivas of North Platte; his dog Rocky; and all of his deeply cherished grandchildren, Sydney, Alex, Emma, Maci, & Grace. He was close to each of his children, and his love for his family was unwavering. Jerry is also survived by his sister Pam (Mark) Spurgin & brother Richard Roberts of Ogallala.

Jerry was proceeded in death by parents Jack & Evelyn Roberts, brother Raymond Roberts, & sister Diana (Roberts) Fricke.

Jerry will be remembered for his big heart, his playful wit, and the way he could make any problem - mechanical or otherwise - seem a little easier to handle.
