Jimmy (Smitty) Daryl Smith

Jimmy passed away on January 10, 2026 at the age of 74. He was born on March 1, 1951 in Akron, Colorado. He spent most of his life in Bakersfield, California and graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1969. He went on to become a journeyman carpenter for the Carpenter's Union Local 743 until he retired. He then started his second career in the Maintenance Operations Department at Bakersfield College where he then retired in 2017. Jimmy is survived by his wife Judy, bonus son Christopher, daughters Windy and Darcy along with their children who called him "Papa". At Jimmy's request there will be no services.
