Joan Duffy Bradshaw, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, at the age of 93.
Joan was born May 5, 1932, to Elfreda and John Duffy. She lived a full and meaningful life centered around family, hard work, and quiet elegance.
She married Lawrence Douglas Palmer, lovingly known as “Cork,” on February 20, 1949, and became the proud mother of five beautiful daughters: Janet Combe, Jeanne Francis, Becky Waters, Barbara Selleneit, and Laurie Sandstrom.
Later in life, she married Tom Bradshaw in 1981 and shared many loving years with him until his passing on December 4, 2024. She now follows him into eternal rest.
Joan worked for Davis Schools Credit Union as a loan officer, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and kindness toward those she helped. She carried that same dependability and care into every part of her life.
She was a classy woman who always took pride in her appearance and carried herself with grace. Strong-willed and independent, she knew what she liked and stayed true to herself throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling and collecting antiques, surrounding herself with beautiful and meaningful pieces. Above all, she cherished her family. She leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will continue her legacy.
She will be remembered for her strength, her quiet sophistication, and the example she set for the generations that follow her. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the family she loved so dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
