Joan Dreith of Bethalto, Illinois was surrounded by her loved ones when she was promoted to Glory on October 29th, 2025 at 3:14pm. She will be remembered for her love of Jesus and her family as well as her giving and compassionate nature.
Joan was born on September 7, 1939 in Alton, Illinois to the late Floyd (Jake) and Georgia Jacobs of Alton, Illinois.
Joan was married to Charles (Chuck) Dreith who preceded her in death along with her sister and best friend, Lorraine.
Joan is survived by her son Jay (Jodie) Chester of Murray, KY, her daughter Kris (Wayne) Meinhard of Greenfield, IL, her son Eric (Kelly) Chester of Bethalto, IL, stepchildren, Joni (Tim) Bunt of Rosewood Heights, IL, and Chuck (Mary) Dreith of Parrish Florida.
She is also survived and cherished by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and family.
Joan was a member of the Alton Salvation Army Church located at 525 Alby St. where her Celebration of Life will be held on November 24, 2025 at 6:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Salvation Army Church of Alton, IL.
