Joan Carol Farley, born on November 22, 1945, passed away peacefully on
February 6, 2026, at the age of 80. She was a beloved mother, sister,
grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and love touched everyone
around her.
Joan was a kind and compassionate soul who loved her family unconditionally.
She found deep joy in time spent together, whether gathered around the table
playing Parchesi, enjoying routine games of Hearts, or attending family picnics
filled with laughter and connection. She also loved the beach and treasured
vacations on Cape Cod, where she found comfort and happiness. Above all,
Joan valued togetherness and being present with those she loved most.
Joan took great pride in her professional life and dedicated many years of service
to her work at the VA Hospital and later at the Milford Post Office. Her strong
work ethic, integrity, and thoughtful nature were deeply respected by colleagues,
friends, and family alike.
She is survived by her sisters, Sally Nanfeldt and her husband Billy, her sister
Nancy Eberg,her brother Richard Leibiger and his wife Karen; and her devoted
children, Deborah Tangney and her husband Eric, Robert Farley, and Kimberly
Ferraiolo and her husband Anthony. She was a loving grandmother to Shyanne
and Kyle Magoon, Samantha and Robert Farley, Lucian, Lexi, and Leah
Ferraiolo, and a proud great-grandmother to Emmalyn, Cole, Kaden, and Reina.
Joan will be remembered for her kindness, honesty, loyalty, and quiet wisdom.
She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, devotion, and family, and will be
deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services will be held on February 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at North Haven Congregation Church
