Joan Arline Hirsch

Joan Hirsch passed away peacefully, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. She is survived by her sons, David (Claudia) of Greenwich, Connecticut, and James (Pamela) of Encino; her cherished grandchildren, Kate, Grant, Ashley and Melanie; and her beloved sister and lifelong best friend, Caryl (Hal). She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Mike Hirsch, and her parents, June and Robert Siegel.

A New Yorker at heart and graduate of Syracuse University, Joan carried her warmth and sense of connection with her wherever life took her. After many years in Beverly Hills, she made her home in Rancho Mirage in 2015, where she embraced the sunshine, friendships, and time on the Tamarisk Country Club golf course.

Joan was a fierce competitor, a gracious and welcoming host, a devoted wife and mother, and an adored grandmother. More than anything, she treasured her time with her family, her time on the golf course, and watching football or baseball, especially the Dodgers.

She will be missed immensely by all.
