Joan B. Keough

Joan Beverly (Palin) Keough, 88, of Farmington, CT passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Cornelius Keough, her two daughters, Cherylann (Cheri) Keough (Alison) and Kathi Olson (Jeff), several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Karin Piatek. Joan’s working career was spent as a paraprofessional in the New Britain School System spanning more than 37 years. She also worked at Stop & Shop in New Britain for 15 years. During these years, she found time to travel and went to Italy, Germany, England, China, Alaska, Las Vegas, NV, California, and Hawaii to name a few. She also spent time on the Cape with her work girlfriends having fun. After her retirement, Joan loved to knit and spent time in the knitting circle at The Plainville Senior Center. There, her and her kitting pal Anne, would spend afternoon’s knitting and chatting. Joan thanks you for your friendship and kindness, Anne. Joan spent her last few years happily living at The Holiday in Farmington. There, she enjoyed making new friends, listening to music, and dancing many afternoon’s away. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. A special thanks to her caregiver Linda whom Joan admired dearly and considered her a daughter. Linda’s unwavering support and care over the last few years was very much appreciated. Also a special thanks to Cindy and Michael at The Holiday for their kindness and support too. A Graveside service will be held Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00a, Rose Hill Memorial Park located at 580 Elm St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. In Lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society in memory of Karin Piatek.
