Joanna Catherine Shoestock, born December 16, 1959, after a lengthy illness, passed away at her home in Aston, PA, on February 21, 2026. Joanna (“Missy” to her loving family) was born at Delaware County Memorial Hospital, grew up in West Goshen, PA, and graduated from East High School.

Joanna’s working career was marked by enthusiasm and dedication. She worked for National Liberty and AIG. She was a licensed phlebotomist and worked as a veterinary assistant. She excelled in managerial positions for Wawa and Acme, and was the top liaison in Hyatt Landscaping.

Joanna is survived by her partner of 32 years John (Jack) Hyatt, son William Joseph Larer, Jr.(Susan), her grandchildren Claire, William, Eleanor and Kaitlin, mother Joanne Shoestock Silver and sister Sharon Bagatta (John). She is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Shoestock and father, Joseph John Shoestock.

Joanna was outgoing and friendly, always offering a helping hand when needed. She loved being a homemaker, and was an outstanding cook and baker. She will be especially remembered for her love of the beach and animals, both domestic and wild. Some will remember how she cared for and raised the abandoned fawn, Penelope.

Joanna was grateful for visits and support during her illness. Following her wishes, services will be private.
