Joe Osvaldo Delavega

Joe Osvaldo Delavega passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at the age of 71 in Odessa, Texas. Born on December 25, 1954, Joe was known for his patient, easy-going, and calm demeanor, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him.

Above all, Joe enjoyed spending time with his only son, Joe Michael, who was truly his pride and joy. He spoke of him often and with great love. The bond they shared was one of his greatest treasures, and it brought him immense pride and fulfillment throughout his life.

Joe was also a passionate musician, often found with a guitar in hand, jamming with bands and friends. His love for music was a significant part of his life, providing joy not only to him but also to those who had the pleasure of listening.

Joe is now peacefully asleep, awaiting the promised resurrection, when he will be awakened to a beautiful paradise here on earth, free of pain, suffering, and death (Revelation 21:3, 4). This hope brings comfort to all who love him.

He leaves behind a loving family: his son, Joe Michael Delavega; two cherished grandchildren; his sister, Mary Soto; and brothers, Robert Gomez and Hiram Garcia. Joe's presence will be profoundly missed, but his gentle spirit and the melodies he created will forever resonate with those who loved him.
