John Collins, 62, of Las Vegas, passed away on January 8, 2026, after a two year battle with cancer. John was born on December 15, 1963, in Des Plaines, Illinois, to Jack and Emily Collins. He is survived by his mother, Emily Collins, and his sister, Susanne Hogan (Mark).
John grew up in Glenview, Illinois, and graduated from Northern Illinois University. He began his lifelong career with American Airlines in 1986 at Chicago's O'hare Airport and transferred to McCarran International (now Harry Reid) in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1999.
John was a people person, an athlete and one heck of a piano player, making friends wherever he went. He was a huge sports fan and a gifted competitor on the baseball field and golf course.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 pm on March 21, 2026, in Scottsdale, Az.
