John R. Connolly passed away on April 3, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (née Grabarz) for 50 years; devoted father of Cheryl (Andrew) Waugh, Carolyn (Dan) Sullivan and Mark Connolly; loving G-Man of Caitlyn Waugh, Alaina Waugh, Ian Sullivan, Maura Sullivan, and Taylor Sullivan; dear brother of Thomas F. Connolly III (Eileen) and Marie Seifert (Robert)/Florida; also survived by ten nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his parents, Thomas F. Connolly Jr. and Marie T. Connolly (née Granahan).
John established his plumbing & heating business early in his career and cultivated a loyal customer base over 40 years. He was a longtime enthusiast of classic cars, especially Corvettes and muscle cars. His lifelong passion for art spurred his creation of innumerable beautiful paintings, with particular focus on French and American Impressionism.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects to John's family on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, 9:30am at St. Albert the Great Church, 212 Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19150 .
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Colorectal Cancer Alliance would be appreciated: colorectalcancer.org
