John E. DiProperzio, 86, of Bath, passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 25, 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born May 18, 1939 in Whitehall, he was the son of the late John DiProperzio and Ellen (Tognoli) Drajic.

He graduated from Whitehall High School in 1957. He served in the US Army reserves in the 1960s for four years. For over 30 years, he owned and operated a local flooring business. From a young age, he had a passion for horses and the rodeo life, John was happiest in the saddle. He was a gifted drummer whose talent led him to being part of two bands, The Scott Bedford Four and Dave Neith Orchestra. While he enjoyed his hobbies his greatest pleasure was his devotion to family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Cheryl; son Jason DiProperizo with his wife Lisa of Northampton; son Brett DiProperzio of Bath; three grandchildren; Brianna Diproperzio with fiance Nick Korpics, Taylor and Michael DiProperzio; one great granddaughter Elena Korpics.

Services officiated by Rev. Kaye Lentz will be held on Tuesday December 9, 2025 at 11:00am in the Gilbert Funeral Home 444 Pershing Boulevard, Whitehall, Pennsylvania 18052, located 1 block south of the Fullerton Avenue exit of Route 22, where his family will receive family and guests beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will be private.
