John E. Osteen, Jr.

John E. Osteen, Jr., of Astor, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on August 31, 1948, in Daytona Beach, John spent his life deeply connected to the community and the natural beauty of his home state.

John was a devoted husband to his wife, Terry Lynn Osteen, and a loving father to his children: James Osteen (Christy) of Apalachicola, Stacy Price (Eric) of Seville, and Joseph Morgan of Astor. He was also a cherished grandfather to Ronald and Jacob Price of Seville and Kora Morgan of Astor, as well as a proud great-grandfather to Aria Osteen of Apalachicola. John is also survived by his sister Barbara and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Lula Osteen; his sister Wanda; and his granddaughter Jamie Lynn Osteen.

John had a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting and fishing, pursuits that brought him peace and fulfillment throughout his life. These hobbies reflected his appreciation for nature's simplicity and beauty.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor John's memory and legacy.
