John Anderson Flanagan, age 82, of Clarksburg, West Virginia, passed away on December 17, 2025, in Florida. He was born in Harrison County on November 25, 1943, to parents Millard R. Flanagan and Helen Virginia Wagner Flanagan.
The longtime Sycamore Road resident loved to make people laugh. He worked as a truck driver for Creasey Company in Clarksburg before being licensed in building maintenance and HVAC repair, working as a maintenance supervisor for high-rises in Clarksburg as well as in Winterhaven, Florida. A skilled carpenter, John built his own home as well as most of the furniture in it.
John was part of the graduating class of 1961 Unidis High School, in West Milford, West Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Stacy L. Flanagan. John is survived by four children, 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
A private service was held December 13 at Davis Weaver Funeral Home. Interment at Floral Hills.
