John “Jack” Hutchings Martin

John "Jack" Hutchings Martin passed away on November 19, 2025 at McCall Hospice House after a brief battle with cancer and numerous other illnesses. He was the son of the late Sally Hutchings Martin and Richard Walter Martin of Watertown, NY. He was predeceased by a son, Scott John Martin, as well as his brother, Rick Martin. He was the eldest of 6 kids and is survived by brothers, Tom Martin and Stephen Martin as well as his sisters, Victoria Martin and Stephanie Martin. He is also survived by his wife of 26 years, Bambi Dobbins Martin, a daughter, Jennifer Anne (Martin) Savko (Daryl), his grandchildren, Brandon (Harley), Owen (Marianna), Audrey Lynn, Cassie, Makenna, Ryan and Zane. He also had 2 great grandchildren, Liam and Sadie.

Jack, born in Watertown, NY, studied at Sarasota Junior College, and worked in various industries. He served his country in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant and completed a tour in Vietnam.

A service at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church will take place on November 23, 2025 at 2 o'clock, with a reception to follow in the parish hall.
