John (JJ) Peter Hunt had a calm and even-tempered nature that everyone admired. He was steady, patient, and grounded — it took a lot to get him upset. That sense of calm carried through every part of his life, especially in his work as a Service Writer, a career he dedicated most of his life to and took great pride in.

Throughout his journey, John faced more loss than most — the kind of loss that could have brought others to their knees. But in true John fashion, he always found a way to rise above it, with quiet strength, a gentle heart, and an unshakable spirit.

John had a deep love for old-school 80s music and could dance surprisingly well — "not bad for a white boy," he'd often joke with a grin. While today's hits never quite caught his attention, the songs he loved always made him light up.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, John loved football, baseball, basketball, and just about any game being played. He always kept up with the latest scores and could talk sports or radio commentary with anyone. He also had a genuine love for Maryland seafood and a good Chick-fil-A sweet tea — simple pleasures that brought him joy.

After his mother passed, John made it his mission to be there for Sam. He stepped up in every possible way — with love, patience, and strength — and he did an incredible job. His devotion and care were obvious to everyone who knew him.

When John was admitted to the hospital, the outpouring of support from his coworkers at Toyota of Orlando deeply touched his family. He truly loved working there and spoke often about his coworkers and customers. The kindness, love, and prayers shown during that time meant more to John — and to his family — than words can ever express.

John's life reminds us all to hold our loved ones close. Take the picture. Say "I love you." Don't wait — because you never know when you might not get that chance again.
