John Lindenmuth, 80, of Whitehall, passed away on November 21, 2025, at the Brian D. Perin Saint Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Patricia M. (Stanczyk) Lindenmuth for 57 years. Born at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, he was a son of the late George F. and Lillian (Ward) Lindenmuth.
John graduated from Liberty High School and proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War as a helicopter crew chief. He later worked as a millwright at Bethlehem Steel for 32 years before retiring in 1997.
His love for his grandchildren, who fondly called him "Ahab," knew no bounds. He cherished attending their sporting and extracurricular events and creating projects for them and his family in his woodshop. In addition to woodworking, John enjoyed camping, boating, cruising in his 1967 Chevy Chevelle, completing puzzles, and was an avid enthusiast of softball—playing, coaching, and watching the game. He also cheered on his favorite Pennsylvania sports teams—the Eagles, Phillies, and Penn State.
