John David Middleton

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of John Middleton on March 11, 2026, at the Dr. Ruth McLain Hospice Home in Braintree. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Florence Middleton.
He is brother to Diane Middleton Crouse, her husband, Vincent, and James F. Middleton and his wife, Sheila. Uncle to Jay Middleton, Maura Middleton, Patrick Middleton, Katelyn Guimaraes and Michael Crouse. Great-uncle to Jimmy, Chris, Sophie, Joe, Andrew, Caleb, Natalie, Nathaniel and Ellie.
John was born and raised in Malden, Massachusetts, where he attended the Malden Public Schools and was a member of the MHS Class of 1972. He went on to further his education and obtained an Associate's Degree at Bunker Hill Community College.
Throughout his career, John explored various opportunities before finding his niche as an accountant with the IRS, where his attention to detail and dedication were recognized.
John was a man of many interests, but his love for cars and road trips were among his favorites. He was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting coins. He was known to many as a jokester, and a storyteller. Even in his final days, he brought cheer and laughter to the staff and fellow residents at the hospice home.
The Middleton family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff of Old Colony Hospice and the Dr. Ruth McLain Hospice Home. Their care and comfort during John's final journey were immeasurable, providing a peaceful transition for him and solace for our family.
As we say goodbye to John, we hold onto many memories, knowing he has been reunited with his beloved parents, Walter and Florence. While he may no longer walk alongside us, his stories and laughter will forever echo in our hearts.
