In loving memory of John William Pacific—son, brother, father, uncle, and friend.

John Pacific, born in Marlborough, Massachusetts and a long-time resident of San Diego, California, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 25, 2026.

John touched the lives of those who came to know him. He was kind, thoughtful, generous, and always willing to lend a hand to those in need.

John was the middle of three sons born to Henry (Harry) Pacific and Margaret Pacific (Condry). John had a sharp mind and wit; from an early age, he showed an interest and an aptitude for sports, including hockey, soccer, break dancing, and BMX bike riding; as well as arts, like drawing and painting. He was committed to excellence in each of these pursuits and worked tirelessly to be the best he could be at everything he did.

He received his early education in Marlborough, Massachusetts, graduating from Marlborough High School with the class of 1985. He enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Lowell then moved to San Diego, California to pursue an engineering degree where he met Jeannette Delgadillo, his future wife and mother of his two children, Ariel and Denver. He went on to help open restaurants across the country before following in his father’s footsteps to become a skilled and licensed plumber and a general contractor, working on new construction projects and rebuilding interiors for restaurants and venues.

John was a free spirit. He fought every day to live life on his own terms. He made his home in sunny San Diego, California where he enjoyed walking to the beach, surfing, bike riding, go-kart racing, watching the Patriots and the Bruins, and in his later years, organizing concerts for local musicians. He became a creative inventor and co-owner of Custom Benches & Porch Swings. In his free time, John wrote country music and frequently traveled to Nashville to collaborate with fellow writers and recording artists.

John left this world the way he lived: on his own terms, loved, and with a smile. He will be deeply missed by friends and family.

He is survived by his daughter, Ariel Pacific and her husband Jesse Colzoni, his son Denver Pacific, his father Henry Pacific Sr., his older brother Henry Pacific Jr. and his wife Janice Pacific (Houde), his younger brother Stephen Pacific and his wife Barbi Pacific (Aukstikalnis), and an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is predeceased by his mother Margaret Pacific (Condry).

The family will host private services in San Diego, California and Marlborough, Massachusetts in the spring and summer respectively.
