John E. Pangburn, 83, of Woodland, California, passed away at home on December 26, 2025. Born in California in 1942 to Alfred James Pangburn and Geneva Dallas
Hickey.
John graduated from Lincoln High School in San Francisco and retired from PG&E after more than 30 years of service.
John dedicated 20 years to volunteering with Carmichael Little League and was honored to umpire at the Big League World Series, the highest level of play in the International Little League Baseball Program. He was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2345 in Woodland and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Sacramento.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Pangburn; children Chris Pangburn (Janine), Tricia Zittrauer(Ryan), Darrell Bracy (Stephanie) and Dallas Timm (Sean); stepdaughter Barbara Phillips (Monty); stepsons Charles Bracy (Cindy) and Nathan Bracy; brother Dave Pangburn (Diane);16 grandchildren;16 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Alfred Jr.
A memorial service will be held on January 31, 2026, at 12:00 pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 37650 CA-16, Woodland, CA.
In place of flowers, donations may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2345 or the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Sacramento.
