John Luke Petrassi Jr

John Luke Petrassi aka jr, aged 27, passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2025, in white county, IN. Born on April 19, 1998, John was known for his vibrant personality and his unyielding dedication to both his work and his loved ones. He was a beacon of joy and humor, never missing a chance to light up a room with his jokes and laughter. Loved to travel, modify his cars, and most importantly spending time with family. He enjoyed football and was a huge Purdue fan.
John leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity. He is survived by his son, Derrick Lerner; his parents, Amber Segal (Johnny) and John Frank Petrassi Sr; his maternal grandparents, David and Constance Segal; and his paternal grandparents, Maria Sansone and the late Oscar Petrassi. John's life was enriched by his siblings, Victoria (Troy), Olivia (Anthony), Alexia (Michael), Gavon, Xavier, Alexander, Nevaeh, and Noah. His joyous spirit will also be remembered by his nieces and nephews- Jaylyn, Tegan, Mason, Dallas, Liam, Oliver, and Adalee as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his aunt Susan Petrassi Negrelli, step mother Misty Petrassi, and grandfather Oscar Petrassi.
A private celebration of life and a balloon release will be held to honor John's memory on April 19th, 2026. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him. If you’d like to attend, RSVP at 574-297-7062
