John Robert Printke, Sr., age 71, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, in Sylvania, Ohio. Born on December 26, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, John lived a life filled with dedication to his family and passions.
A proud graduate of Woodward High School in Toledo, John completed his education in 1973. Shortly thereafter, he began a long and fulfilling career at Jeep on July 18, 1977. Over the course of more than four decades, John became a valued member of the Jeep family before retiring on January 30, 2021.
John was a devoted husband to Kathleen Printke and a loving father to his children: Marie Printke, Susan Myrice (Shane), Jennifer Johnson (Gabriel), John Printke Jr., and Kevin Printke (Lauren). He was also a cherished grandfather to Mackenzie, Garrett, Jeremiah, Emma, Trevor and Zoey. His family brought him immense joy and pride throughout his life.
John is also survived by his brother Joseph Printke (Karen) and his sister Marianne Printke (Schandra), and his brother-in-law's David Wesolowski Sr and Michael Czechowski (Sandy). He leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Rosemarie Printke; his sisters Kathy Pachucki, Christina Wesolowski, and Annmarie Printke; as well as other beloved family members who preceded him in death.
In addition to being a dedicated family man and hard worker, John found great enjoyment in fishing and woodworking. These hobbies allowed him to connect with nature and express his creativity. Whether casting a line or crafting something with care from wood, these activities brought him peace and fulfillment.
John’s legacy as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His memory will be cherished by all whose lives he touched.
May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him. A Funeral Mass will be held on April 17, 2026 at Saint Catherine Catholic Church 1155 Corbin Road at 1pm, luncheon to follow. Before mass there will be a visitation hour from 12pm to 1pm for those who wish to pay their respects.
