John D. Robson, 93, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
Born on December 24, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio, John was the son of James T. and Madeline Robson, and the brother of James T. (Esther) Robson II and Kathleen (Michael) Nolan. John graduated from John Carroll University. He was a journalist for the Marion Star and for the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He then served as the executive secretary for the Ohio Chapter of the American Osteopathic Association before forming his own company, JDR, Inc. John was the beloved spouse of Patricia (Oelbracht) Robson for just under 65 years. The two retired to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1997. Then John moved to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida in 2021 following the death of Patricia. John loved to dance away a Sunday afternoon at AJ's to the tunes of the Pickled Pickers. He was also known for his love of Mocha Frappes from McDonalds.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his two siblings. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, but is survived by his children Robert (Ellen) Robson of Liberty, Missouri; Ann Chambers of Louisburg, North Carolina; Susan Robson of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; Thomas (Annie) Robson of Tiki Island, Texas; Mary (Jeff) Haworth of Arlington, Tennessee; and Rich (Marcie) Robson of Hickory, North Carolina. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
