John Joseph Rutka Sr.

John J. Rutka, 92 years young of the Rockfall section of Middlefield, Connecticut went to the Lord on September 28, 2025 after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Meriden, the son of Alexander and Katherine (Dolaczynski) Rutka and worked in the construction field most of his adult life.
He is survived by four daughters, Adele, Judith, Carolynn, Marylou and their children. He is also survived by close friends Judith McGuire, Arthur Petrucelli, Lawrence Messier, and William Oppelt, as well as one honorary nephew and friend, Henry Sagnella. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sons, John Jr. (Jack), William (Bill), and Martin, as well as three sisters, Sophie, Frances, and Josephine, and one brother, Alexander Jr.
A memorial service was held on October 7, 2025 at the Victory Church in Middlefield, where he was a faithful congregent.
