John C. Salvaggio, age 91, a longtime resident of Braintree, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Thursday, January 22, 2026 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, surrounded by his loving family.
John was born in Quincy, to the late Salvatore and Lucy (Poliatti) Salvaggio.
He was employed with the Stouffer Food Company for over twenty-five years as a regional sales manager of New England and had been retired for many years.
John served in the United States Army during the mid-1950's.
He was a man of faith, a devout Catholic, and daily communicant at Saint John the Baptist Church in Quincy where he attended as a young man.
Most of all, John was devoted to his family, his beloved wife Virginia, his daughter Beth P. Snyder and her husband Brian of Braintree, and his three amazing granddaughters, Grace, Stephanie, and Caroline.
John was one of six siblings and is survived by his brother, Robert J. Salvaggio, and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint John the Baptist Church, 44 School Street, Quincy, on Friday, January 30, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Randolph.
