John served in the Army Reserve from 1957 to 1963. After which he built a successful career at Hewlett-Packard. On May 9, 1958, John married Glenda Sue Oberlies.
John had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.
He is survived by his sons Ronald Shipley and Glenn Shipley; his daughter Cynthia Shipley; and his nephew Clark Shipley. John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, parents, and older brother Phillip Shipley.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 28th at 2:00 PM at Parkview Christian Church, located at 201 W. Ustick Rd., Meridian, Idaho.
